The Founder Showcase is a quarterly startup pitch and networking event that gathers 300 top technology CEOs, investors, and early-stage companies in Silicon Valley for one action-packed night to hear talks from leading CEOs, and help launch a promising start-up company to greatness.

The 6th Founder Showcase features a Keynote speech from George Zachary, General Partner of Charles River Ventures and early investor in Twitter. Guests will also be treated to appetizers and drinks in the networking hall, which features Event Tables from leading startups and service providers. This event has sold out the last three times, so purchase your inexpensive tickets or Event Tables today.

We are expecting over 75 investors in attendance. Keynote Speaker

George Zachary, General Partner, Charles River Ventures
George Zachary joined Charles River Ventures in 2004, bringing more than 17 years of operating and investing experience in computing and consumer technology. Zachary focuses on building services and software technology companies, and he’s led CRV’s investments in Twitter, Yammer, Millennial Media, Cloudshare, Geni, SocialMedia, Metaplace, and Scribd (co-led with Bill Tai).

Ten companies elected by over 14,500 registered CEO Members of TheFunded.com will present to over 300 investors, founders, and members of the press in Silicon Valley. A panel of experts will critique the pitches, and voting from those in attendance will determine the Grand Prize Winner – who will receive $2,500 cash, two tickets to the DEMO Fall 2010 Conference, free services from oDesk, and more.

Showcase guests will be treated to food and drinks, as well as informative talks by two leading CEOs; Jason Calacanis of Mahalo.com, and Elon Musk of Tesla Motors and SpaceX. There is also a networking and Table area for startups, service providers, and investors to convene.

Previous investors that have attended include Charles River Ventures, Morgenthaler Ventures, SoftTech VC, Leapfrog, Polaris, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, First Round, Blue Run, and various angels. Over $1MM has been raised by presenting companies that met investors at the Showcase.



Gus Tai, General Partner, Trinity Ventures

Since joining Trinity Ventures in 1996, Gus has specialized in funding early stage companies pioneering new market categories. Gus focuses on consumer services and consumer enabling technologies, and maintains an interest in enterprise software. Gus is also a Director of the M.I.T. Club of Northern California and the Chinese Software Professionals Association.

Rebecca Lynn, Partner, Morgenthaler Ventures

Rebecca joined Morgenthaler’s Menlo Park office in 2007, and she focuses on early-stage investments in mobile, health 2.0, Internet services and financial services. She serves on the boards of Lending Club and Practice Fusion, and she is a second on the boards of OpinMind and Autonet.

Aaron Patzer, Founder & CEO, Mint.com

Aaron is both the visionary and technical mind behind Mint.com, now the leading free, online money management in the US. He has also been recognized as a “Top 30 US Entrepreneur under 30” by Inc. magazine, as well as one of just 34 worldwide “Tech Pioneers” by the World Economic Forum of Davos, Switzerland in 2008.
